We are a street light behind a tree
When the rays shine through the sway of evening leaves
We are the vine that winds its way
Through the deep sidewalk cracks where steps rarely stray.
You are a strong song of bells up above
And I echo you softly between empty walls
You are the cadence of my hopeful dance
As we spin together in this brilliant romance.
Darling, come close on this old white porch
The floorboards lamenting the long years before
You and I sat on this gentle swing
And let’s watch the winter give way to our spring.
Gah, beautiful! I wish I could creative write. I loved that!
ReplyDeleteI second you Rissa. That is beautiful! I admire your tallents! Spring is my favorite season hands down!
